About Ballinger Housing Authority

The Housing Authority, which now consists of 66 units (20 elderly and 46 family) was organized February 6, 1950, by the City Commission of Ballinger, Texas.

Additional Information

This agency does not accept or handle any Section 8 vouchers, only public housing. Rent is based upon your income. You or someone you know may come into their office during our office hours, Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, to pick-up an application. If you would like to complete the application on the same day, then you must provide a Driver’s License/state issued ID for every eligible person along with social security cards and birth certificates for each person in the household. Please bring any documents relating to any income, such as paycheck stubs, Social Security benefits, child support, etc. Every adult age of 18 years or older must be present to sign all necessary documents within the application.
